Olectra Greentech Limited ("Olectra", "OGL", "the Company", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to olectra.com (the "Website"), including prospective and existing customers, transport authorities and utility buyers, investors and shareholders, job applicants, vendors, and other users. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the Website, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you. It is issued in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and applicable Indian law.

This Policy applies to personal data collected through olectra.com and its sub-pages (including the Mobility and Energy/Insulators sections), any forms hosted on the Website (contact/enquiry forms, the newsletter subscription plugin, and the Careers/"Submit Resume" page), and any related interactions you have with us arising from your use of the Website. It does not apply to information collected offline, through the operation of Olectra's buses or insulator products in the field, or through the Website or systems of any third party we link to.

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact and enquiry details: name, company/organisation, designation, email address, phone number, and the content of any message you submit through the "Contact Us" or enquiry forms — for example a Mobility fleet enquiry or an Insulators technical/product enquiry.
  • Newsletter subscription details: email address (and any other field) submitted through the Email Subscribers signup on the Website.
  • Careers/recruitment data: name, contact details, resume/CV, work history, qualifications, and any other information you submit when applying for a role or submitting your resume through the Website.

  • Group and related entities, including Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) group companies and operating affiliates such as Evey Trans Private Limited, where relevant to responding to a Mobility enquiry or contract;
  • Service providers who support Website hosting, email delivery, newsletter management, analytics, recruitment processing, and IT security, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
  • Government departments, transport authorities, regulators, stock exchanges (BSE/NSE), or law enforcement, where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process;

  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.

As Olectra's Insulators business supplies customers in India and a number of export markets, and as Website hosting or service providers may process data outside India, personal data collected through the Website may be stored, processed, or transferred outside India. Where such transfers occur, we will take steps intended to ensure the data continues to receive an appropriate standard of protection, consistent with the DPDP Act and any rules or country lists notified by the Government of India from time to time.

  • Request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • Request erasure of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, subject to any legal retention requirements;

  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity, as permitted under the DPDP Act; and

If you submit your resume or apply for a role through the Website, we will use the information you provide to assess your application, contact you regarding the recruitment process, and, where you consent, retain your details for consideration against future openings. The Website is intended for business, institutional, investor, and career-related audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18.
